The research activity concerns the biochemical markers of early diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers, with particular emphasis on colorectal carcinoma and the dependence of these biochemical parameters on the severity and differentiation of the histological image. Clinical validity of these biochemical determinants in predicting disease progression, recurrence and metastasis, including the effect of surgical and oncological treatment on the values ​​of these parameters. Search for biochemical markers of relevance and usefulness in the differentiation of light and severe forms of acute pancreatitis and to predict the course of this disease for appropriate treatment.
