Introduction

  • Practical advice before travelling, with special consideration given to vaccination, depending on the region of stay (obligatory and recommended immunization)
  • Evaluation of dangers during travelling, established indications and types of infectious disease prevention as well as other dangers related with travelling; water, food and nutrition  hygiene. Traveller’s first aid kit – talk over.
  • Counselling and most common health issues after return from the tropics.

  • Clinical symptoms, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of parasitic tropical diseases, considering a geographic range of the occurrence: Plasmodium sp., Leishamania sp.; Wuchereria bancrofti; Brugia malayi; Brugia timori; Loa loa ; Onchocerca volvulus; Trypanosoma brucei gambiense ; Trypanosoma cruzi ; Schistosoma sp.
  • Clinical symptoms, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of bacterial tropical diseases, considering a geographic range of the occurrence: Salmonella typhi; Yersinia pestis ; Vibrio cholera;

  • Clinical symptoms, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of viral tropical diseases, considering a geographic range of the occurrence: Ebola Virus, HIV, Marburg Virus;
